The game's protagonist is Sam Gideon, a DARPA (The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) member equipped with an Augmented Reaction Suit (abbreviated as ARS), a cutting-edge mechanical suit outfitted with a vast array of weaponry and functions. In addition to being a capable soldier Sam is also a brilliant scientist, and helped create the very suit he wears.

The game's enemies will be mainly robotic. The reason for this is, according to the developers, that they wanted to see if they could convey the same good feeling one gets when shooting people in a game with non-organic enemies
